Who is responsible for your information

Prometheus Technologies is responsible for personal information collected through this website. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to admin@prometheustech.co.uk.

Information we may receive

  • Information you choose to include in an email or project enquiry, such as your name, email address, organisation and project details.
  • Routine technical records created by the hosting service, which may include an IP address, browser information, requested pages and timestamps.
  • If you consent to Google Analytics, website-usage information such as pages viewed, approximate location, referrer, device and browser details, scrolling and outbound-link activity.
  • Information created during a client or supplier relationship, including correspondence, proposals, project records and billing details.

How and why it is used

Information is used to respond to enquiries, prepare and deliver requested services, operate and secure the website, keep appropriate business records and meet legal obligations. The usual legal bases are steps requested before a contract, performance of a contract, legitimate interests in running and protecting the business, and compliance with legal obligations.

Optional website analytics

Google Analytics is used only after you actively allow analytics cookies. The purpose is to understand website traffic, how visitors reach the site and which pages are useful. The legal basis is consent. The Google tag is not loaded before consent, and advertising storage, advertising personalisation and advertising user-data signals remain disabled.

Google acts as the analytics provider and may process information outside the UK using its applicable transfer safeguards. Event-level and user-level Analytics data is retained for 14 months; aggregated reporting may remain available for longer. You can withdraw consent at any time through “Cookie settings” in the footer.

Sharing and international processing

Information is shared only where reasonably necessary with service providers such as website, email, IT hosting and—when consent is given—Google Analytics, or with professional advisers and public authorities where required. Where processing takes place outside the UK, appropriate contractual or legal safeguards are applied. Personal information is not sold.

How long information is kept

Enquiry information is normally reviewed and removed when it is no longer useful, generally within 24 months if no client relationship develops. Old hashed anti-abuse records are deleted during form activity once they are more than 48 hours old; the contact form does not store the enquiry body after delivery. Client, transaction and legal records may be retained for longer where needed for the service, accounting, insurance or legal purposes. Routine security logs are retained only for a proportionate operational period.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or an objection to processing. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. Contact admin@prometheustech.co.uk first if you would like help with a privacy request.
